Comprehensive Research and Support for the Development of the Cultural and Creative Industries in the Olomouc Agglomeration

The aim of the project is to implement, in cooperation between the applicant and the project partners, four research initiatives in the field of cultural sectors in the Olomouc agglomeration: a) to map the working conditions of creators in selected cultural sectors in the Olomouc agglomeration and propose measures for their improvement; b) to map the impact of the copyright system on selected cultural sectors in the Olomouc agglomeration and propose measures to balance or eliminate dysfunctions of the system; c) to map examples of good practice in public support for mobile audiovisual production and develop a strategy for regional film offices on how to effectively cooperate with representatives of global mobile audiovisual production; d) to analyze the legal forms and governance of public cultural institutions and propose a methodology for measuring effectiveness for founders of public-benefit cultural institutions.

To prepare teaching and educational activities and outputs in the areas of work in creative industries and copyright protection of the results of creative work and, from the academic year 2025/2026, to implement them regularly within the applicant’s study programmes in cooperation with the project partners. Part of the educational activities includes the provision of advisory services to creators in the Olomouc agglomeration through the Legal Clinic of the Department of Commercial Law, Faculty of Law, Palacký University Olomouc.
